Turn of the century farmhouse The Ohio Star was chosen because optically it looks large from a distance. The owner created a second barn quilt, Sunflower, to adorn the porch. The Ohio Star was first made in Oberlin, Ohio during the civil war and gained popularity in the 1930’s.
